What's the Delay?
If you are waiting at crossings longer and more often, you are not alone.
Corporate railroads are increasing the length of freight trains from around 1.5 to over 3 miles long. They are doing this to save money, increase stock prices and eliminate employees. The problem with this is the effect it has on the public. Trains 3 miles long do not fit between crossings so they block community roads whenever stopped. This affects both daily commutes and emergency response times. Please help us fight back to clear up our road ways. Call your representatives and report your blocked crossings below.
